Even Diablo 3 having a real money auction house. It was straight up gambling the likes of what EA does with their FIFA or sports games. Look at what happened with Battlefront 2. Every game has to be a billion dollars in sales so they ram the dumbest shit you've ever seen into beloved franchises.
It's like companies are only interested monetization similar to the likes of the mobile game trash heap. I hope they don't screw this game up with ridiculous micros and fourth wall breaking skins for sale. Another terrible issue is the fact they don't really ban people cheating anymore, 3 day suspensions for gold buyers don't count. I can't pretend I'm playing the same game authentically when I see people running around with 58 boosts and mounts bought from a shop. A major reason I left wow was the added microtransactions on their classic line-up when I just wanted to relive the glory days. In a game that is all about creating new games quickly to magic find that destroyed the experience for me.Įvery product they've updated or come out with in recent years has become progressively worse due to activision requiring them to add things that break immersion. The amount of botting made it unplayable as creating a game took 10-15mins in queue. It was highly disappointing and pretty easy to identify if you look at who specifically is selling all the runes. The last time I checked out b.net there were a few bot farms running like 5000-9000 games farming runes to sell on JSP.
New character diablo 2 mod update#
I know the quality of D2 so a graphical update and possibly better anti-cheat is what I've been waiting for to get back into the game. D4 for me will be one of those wait and see purchases if at all. I unsubbed from wow over a month ago and this was the only thing I was looking forward to in terms of blizzard related products.
